Location/Directions/Transit

The Goldmine Hill Condominium Complex is located near the center of San Francisco on Ora Way at the very top of Gold Mine Hill in Diamond Heights. The Complex is situated on seven acres, nestled under towering Monterey Cypress Pines ( San Francisco's official city tree). This bucolic setting is further enhanced by colorful gardens and lusciously landscaped grounds with breathtaking panoramic views of the City by the Bay.

Complex Location

The GMH Complex buildings are located at 43 through 95 Ora Way. The GMHHOA Business Office is located at 43 Ora Way, San Francisco, CA 94131-2531. The GMH Complex is conveniently located near the Diamond Heights Shopping Center and the San Francisco Police Academy. The Gold Mine Hill area is easily accessible via public transportation.

Public Transit Connections

The Gold Mine Hill area is served by the following public transportation:

  • Bus Route #52 (Excelsior)— This bus drops you off at the corner of Diamond Heights Blvd. and Gold Mine Dr.; walk up the hill on Gold Mine Dr. and then turn left on Ora Way.
    
    
  • Bus Route #35 (Eureka)— This bus drops you off at the corner of Addison St. and Diamond Heights Blvd.; walk up Gold Mine Drive, turn right on Topaz Way, and then turn left on Ora Way.
  
  
• Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART)—The nearest BART stop is the Glen Park Station located at 2901 Diamond St. at Bosworth. To get to the complex, catch the San Francisco MUNI Bus Route #52 (Excelsior) (heading towards Forest Hill Station) at the corner of Bosworth and Diamond St.

GMHHOA Complex Description

The Goldmine Hill Condominium Complex consists of eight residential buildings of three stories each with 204 total residential units (i.e., studios, studio-lofts, one bedrooms, and one bedroom-lofts) and one recreation/office building:

A majority but not all of these units are part of the San Francisco Mayor's Office of Housing (MOH) and subject to income/purchase price limits (see the current 2011 Purchase Price Limits).

Emergency Contact Information

Whenever there is an immediate threat of bodily harm to yourself or property damage due to fire, always Dial 911 or the San Francisco Police or Fire Departments!

A Safety Message from the Board of Directors:

Be aware of your surroundings! Help keep GMH and Diamond Heights a safe place to live. If you are threatened or notice a person or incident that seems out of place, notify the SFPD. In an emergency, always call 911. For non-emergencies, you can call the non-emergency telephone number, (415) 553-0123, to report any criminal activity.

Also, please be sure to inform the GMH Office when you are going to be away for any length of time. This will ensure that we are aware of your absence in the event of break-ins or a major emergency (e.g., flooding in units, fire, earthquake, etc.).

To find out what's going on in the Ingleside Police District on a daily basis, you can subscribe to a daily email from the Ingleside Captain. Just send an email to InglesideStationNewsletter-subscribe@yahoogroups.com and you will receive a daily email report of police incidents that occurred in the Ingleside Police District. Another great way to stay on top of things is to attend the monthly community meetings at the Ingleside Station in Balboa Park. Meetings are on the third Tuesday of each month. NOTE: When contacting the property management representative make sure that you reference the Goldmine Hill Homeowners Association (GMHHOA) and identify yourself as a resident in your message.

IMPORTANT: After-hour calls to property management company and/or the GMH office may result in a charge, even if no work is done. Often, people think they are calling the GMH business office, but in fact the GMH phone line is switched over to an answering service after the office closes. The answering service then relays your call to a representative who is hired by the property management company to be on call to fix emergency problems that are the responsibility of the Association and not individual units.

For problems inside your own unit (e.g.,  heating problem, overflowing toilet, cable/satellite reception, etc.), you must hire your own vendor to fix the problem. If you do not know whom to call, you can ask at the GMH Office for a recommendation during normal business hours Monday through Friday. After business hours, look in the yellow pages.
